About Bridge the Gap Tutoring

For over 30 years, I have helped young childeran learn to read with confidence. I have taugth Kindergarten, First and Second Grade, and spent four years as a reading interventionist, working closely with students who have needed targeted reading support.

Throughout my career, I’ve used a wide range of research-based reading programs and instructional methods. This experience allows me to meet each child exactly where they are- using th approach that works best for them, not a one-size-fits-all program.

Reading has always been my passion, and helping children discover the joy and confidence that come with it is truly my purpose. Over the years, I’ve worked with many students who started out feeling frustrated or unsure about reading – and I’ve seen how the right support can completely chanage their outlook.

At Bridge the Gap Tutoring, I can focus on catching reading challenges early, before they grow into bigger struggles. I use research-based meethods, patience, and encouragement to help each child make steady progress and start believing in themselves as readers.

Parents often tell me they appreciate my calm, caring approach and how I keep them involved every step of the way. Watching a child go from hesitant to confident is the most rewarding part of what I do – it’s the most rewarding part of what I do-and it’s why I love this work.
